12. Now that Timmy has made his run at the White House official
this story can never be allowed to die:

Caught a creepy segment on the FM 107 morning show (Ian and Margery--A Balanced Breakfast). Mary Pawlenty has been guest hosting with Ian.

Yesterday Mary Pawlenty told a long anecdote about when she got appendicitis and Tim Pawlenty was an insensitive lout. It was supposed to be a rib-slapping funny commentary about silly husbands but instead came off as creepy and disturbing. It was a long story, starting out when she doubled over in pain at home when appendicitis struck. Everyone laughed as she described how she was curled on the bedroom floor in a fetal position begging to be taken to the emergency room, but that rascal Tim Pawlenty told her to wait until morning to go to the regular clinic instead.

After she kept moaning and begging, and the pain got more and more excruciating, he finally agreed, reluctantly, to take her to the hospital. Despite her protestations, he decided he wanted to take a shower first. Ha ha ha!!! She described lying on the floor afraid she was dying, and begging her children to bang on the shower door to ask their father to call 911. She said he was unmoved (Ha ha ha! Those crazy Republican husbands!) and took a nice, long shower before leisurely driving her to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, he decided he really didn't feel like hanging around in the ER waiting room. While she was moaning in agony and waiting for the doctor, he told her he was leaving and put his car keys into her shoe so that she could drive herself home later! What a card! What a funny husband he is!

Then you should have heard the guffaws as she described being wheeled into surgery, alone and in despair, thinking, "I thought I had a family, but I have NO ONE!" Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! Then, after the surgery, Tim finally showed up in the post-op room in his suit. However, he immediately asked her if she really needed him to stay, and he left as soon as he could. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! You know how MEN are!!!! Ha!

The story went on and on like this for about 10 minutes, and everyone was howling at that rascal husband Tim Pawlenty, who has no empathy.

Today (surprise, surprise) they had Tim Pawlenty on to do damage control. The lovebirds traded affectionate barbs, and he told HIS side of the story, which was that he had to leave quickly to take care of the children and make sure they made it to school.

This is the caring governor we need. This is clearly the man who will bring healthcare to Minnesota's children.

15. He's the last one who worries me
He'd be a "fresh face", and that's 100% of how we've taken the White House away from the Rethugs for the past fifty-one years.

We can defeat Romney, Gingrich, and Palin. Huntsman has no chance, anybody in the Repuke base who would vote for a Mormon would vote for the one with enough money to back up his campaign, and that ain't Jon Huntsman. Bachmann is too looney tunes to be elected, she's bound to say more stupid things on the way to the nomination that's not gonna happen for her.

But if Pawlenty can be persuaded to drop his campaign, at that point, I know President Obama will have two terms.

18. So, he's the only remaining Repube who worries you?
I would say your headline verbatim, but with the opposite meaning: He's the LAST one who worries me!

19. Yes, the others are either old hat, or certifiable nutjobs
that have zero chance of winning. The fundies won't vote for the Mormons, and the country-clubbers won't enthusiastically support the tea partiers. Pawlenty still has a chance of gaining support from both sides of the Republicon party.

That's how they've won all of the elections I've seen for the past three decades or so.

Really? I thought it was more election fraud than personality. Certainly, recently, more "fear of black man" than Repug congeniality.

22. Well, if there's election fraud
You have to have a base of votes that you would have had in the first place. When the Rethugs won the White House, they managed to cobble together a combination of the country-clubbers and the fundies. I don't think they've got anybody in this race who can do that. And now, with Pawlenty's child-molester pardon problem, I'm not so worried about him anymore.

The Republicon party just ran out of fresh faces.

20. That's because they know him in MN
To the rest of the country, he's a fresh face. Anytime we took the WH away from the Rethugs in the last fifty-one years, it was with a fresh face.
