'The defining issue of our time is not the Iraq war. It is not the "global war on terror." It is not our inability (or unwillingness) to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable health care. Nor is it immigration, outsourcing, or growing income inequity. It is not education, it is not global warming, and it is not Social Security.

The defining issue of our time is the media.

The dominant political force of our time is not Karl Rove or the Christian Right or Bill Clinton. It is not the ruthlessness or the tactical and strategic superiority of the Republicans, and it is not your favorite theory about what is wrong with the Democrats.

The dominant political force of our time is the media.

Time after time, the news media have covered progressives and conservatives in wildly different ways -- and, time after time, they do so to the benefit of conservatives.

2. I believe the MSM media was intimidated by Faux
and their Bush bandwagon. If you didn't follow Faux spewing Bush's garbage, you were thought of as traitors.

McCarthyism, plain and simple.

4. i think that's right; too MSM was afraid they'd wake up the next morning...
and be 'out of news & without access', out of favor with the cabal, and off all the cool B & C list cocktail parties round & about DC = disgusting...so much innocents willfully denied while people presumably spill their blood on foreign shores so MSM can fritter away such glorious freedoms as they have done

3. Cool. Would make a great rap for Kevin Federline.
He would insert Britney Spears though.
Oops, maybe I should rephrase that.

6. This article is as important as it is true.
The media's anti-Democrat bias didn't start with Clinton either. Carter, Truman and even Roosevelt were unfairly treated by the national press .. and not accidently. Those who confront the right-wing oligarchy are always victims of character assasination by columnist.

There has NEVER been a left-wing-leaning media. The only reason anyone thinks there IS a left-wing media bias is because the right-wing media has been repeating and endorsing that canard for decades.

If the media REALLY had a left-wing bias, you'd never hear about it in the media.
