(...)

VELSHI: That's not a loss of jobs, Senator. That's a smaller aggregation of jobs. You can't go on a campaign, a national campaign with this kind of math, Senator. It's just incorrect.

SANTORUM: Well, Sure you can, because it is -- that's not incorrect. I mean, they're claiming less jobs --

VELSHI: Senator, if you created 230 million jobs, it's not a loss of jobs. That's just not a loss of jobs.

ROMANS: We -- we --

SANTORUM: I don't know how you count -- one report says we are 280 and now there's only 240, that means that there's fewer jobs.

VELSHI: All right. I know you've got a lot of interviews to do. You might want to check that math.

(...)

VELSHI: Senator, I look forward to talking to you again. I would tell you, though, dangerous to go around saying the stimulus didn't create jobs. If it created fewer than you originally --

SANTORUM: Look it up.

VELSHI: -- suspected that's a very different story.

SANTORUM: Look it up.

VELSHI: I'm happy to do that, Senator, and when you do it, I'll be happy to hear from you as well.

SANTORUM: Their report says the that job totals have decreased over time, not increased.

VELSHI: Fewer jobs created than initially thought, not a decrease -- not a loss of jobs. Very distinct -- very big difference. Let's not make a campaign slogan out of something incorrect.

SANTORUM: If you say so.

VELSHI: I think you might thank me for the guidance, but it's your campaign, so you do what you see fit.

ROMANS: Rick Santorum, thank you so much. I know you're really pounding the pavement in Iowa, in New Hampshire working to -- you know, there's a lot of buzz around there --

VELSHI: Yes. Let's be just clear. That's just not right information.

1. He is insignificant with no chance at all.
Casey Anthony has a better chance to be President than Man on Dog.

9. True, but he stands a good chance of getting the VP slot.
That's a GOP tradition.
Put an empty suit and a set of capped teeth in the front slot, and a frothing partisan lunatic in the VP slot. That means Perry, Santorum, Bachmann and Palin all have reasonable shots at second place on the ticket.

8. Yes she did, which is very telling of the pathetic state of modern "news."
It's a sad day when journalists get scared shitless when they see another journalist calling a politician out on a bald faced lie.

"Oh my goodness! Pointing it out when a conservative politician tells a complete lie is going to make us look like we have a LIBERAL BIAS! Oh NO! We might get HATE mail from Rush Limbaugh fans!" *Shiver*

5. Someone on CNN does have guts.
Santorum, I think, really believes what he is saying! So the answer to our problems is 0% taxes for manufacturing businesses. The rich get richer and to hell with the poor.

I do too.

He simply cannot understand that predicting 280 million MORE jobs, and then not reaching that goal and only creating 240 million MORE jobs is not a job loss. Fewer jobs THAN PREDICTED is not a job loss! His religious way of thinking simply blocks out reality and replaces it with what he wants, even if it is totally absurd. He can't even do elementary school math anymore. That's too high falootin' book lernin'. It pitiful that such a person, one that is so confused by a simple math problem like this, thinks he can run the country.

Like all our recent Repug prezes, he expects someone else to run things while he smiles before a camera.

they also love to refuse direct answers... well-practiced politicians... just what we need FEWER of in this country... those that game politics and the public

18. And they always put the onus everyone else.
They say what they want and when questioned, they tell the questioner to "LOOK IT UP!"

So infuriating.

7. Very Simple: We were LOSING 750,000 jobs a month Bush's last months and NOW
we are ADDING up to 250,000 jobs a month. But in wacky Tbagger world that doesnt matter.

12. Anyone catch on to...
...the fact that 230 million jobs is way, way off? 230 million is 2/3 of the entire population of the US.

I think they're both wrong.

when you consider people over 65 and people under 16.

24. What else is new? Look at who this is. He lied for years about where he lived.
It doesn't matter how much he loves him mamma or how much he thinks he loves Jesus, he's in danger of losing human incarnation next time around.

25. Marriage of Peanut Butter and Chocolate=Reeces Peanut Butter Cups.
So, he wants to redefine marketing? Look, Jerkwad, you are a homophobe. You just spelled out the arguement that will take marriage equality nationwide. One state can have it and another can't. It's in the Constitution (14th amendment?)
Bye little Ricky.
Oh, and your whole enonomic discussion was moronic. A freaking ZERO tax rate? Seriously? I will just buy up their stock, cause it would go thru the roof.

27. Not really sure where Rick flunked math.
Makes it kinda obvious the jobs increased because of the stim.

Isn't Ben Stein like right wing. Way back when in 2009, he thought the Stim was too small. Had to be bigger to do it properly. Like expecting to get home with a quarter tank of gas and your 300 miles away. Either way it created jobs and nothing he says makes any sense... Just need Rachel Maddow's chart showing the downturn in jobs then Obama taking over and it goes back up. X_X

Whats the term they had with Perot? Fuzzy math? But then again Texas has a balanced budget thanks to fuzzy math. In reality it's got one huge deficit.
