The Daily reports on the nation's first Professional Cannabis Critic, in Denver. He writes for the Denver Westword as William Breathes. (Think Food Critic with a twist.) He remains anonymous to prevent special treatment from clinics, and evaluates various suppliers and medical cannabis strains for patrons who may want to know where they can feel the most comfortable and get the most quality for their purchase.

With 15 other states and Washington, D.C., now allowing some use of medical cannabis, Breathes is also tackles the ongoing political battles around the drug as medicine.

When, earlier this year, the Colorado Legislature was considering a bill to crack down on driving under the influence by cannabis smokers, Breathes had a blood analysis done to show that he was three times over the proposed legal limit, even after not smoking all day and being pronounced sober by a doctor.

As noted, Denver now has more Cannabis Clinics than Starbucks. Other revelations - that American Express won't deal with Cannabis Clinics - time to cut those cards up folks... but they DO take VISA.

1. The clinics are also helping Newspapers stay in business...
Medical marijuana dispensaries have been providing newspapers in areas where they are legal new sources of ad revenue. One such paper, in California, is the Sacramento News and Review, an alternative newspaper.

According to a Sacramento KXTV report, the ads from the medical marijuana ads have given the paper enough funds to hire new staff and expand distribution.

3. Self-Prescribe
NY doesn't have medical pot yet. My Mom has completely lost
her appetite, complication from a broken hip; she gagged
drinking Ensure.

SOOOOO, laywoman that I am, I PRESCRIBED pot for my 85 year
old mom about a month ago and she gained 5 pounds. Had to go
'underground' for the 'medication' but it wasn't hard in NY!!!
