1. Good to see the President make a statement on this.
As I expected, no details were forthcoming. None should be at this point in the process, really. We will learn more after the next meeting on Sunday. Speculation in the media is just that - speculation. Unnamed sources are just that - unnamed and could be anyone. Facts are just that - facts. We need the last, not the previous two things. We need to tell our legislators and our President what we want them to do. Then, we need to find out what they actually propose, not what some pundits think they propose.

2. okay
so it seems that there are still a wide range of disagreements and we will have to let staff figure this out because the people making the big bucks are unable to get along or act like adults.

3. He aleady knows what he's going to do. And the pain he spoke of
is cutting entitlements. After he cuts them, further speeches until his ouster are useless.

9. Ho wmany times does it have to be said
Obama does not have to negotiate on anything, not raising the debt ceiling would be soooo beneficial to the democrats, it would ensure them victory at the next election, and if it is imperative that they feel the need to raise debt then the Constitution and the legal precedents allow them to raise it without congressional approval

see here

So if Obama negotiates then there can be no possible doubt - he is a turncoat of the very, very, very worst kind and should not be allowed back into a Democratic ANYTHING.
