You are a true hero. Although right now we need an army -- think you can convince the Democrats in the Senate to just stick together on this one and refuse to budge on any cuts to Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid? Just demand funding for these necessary programs. We could be done with the deficit quickly: end funding for current wars, and let the Bush-era tax cuts expire.

9. I strongly support Senator Sanders.

I want to point out, however, that Obama may well have lied about his stance on Social Security during the campaign.

One of the first things he did when he took office as President was to appoint Timothy Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury.

Timothy Geithner owes his appointment to the New York Fed to Pete Peterson, arch enemy of Social Security.

Geithner was a terrible choice, one of the worst Obama has made, and Geithner apparently came with an agenda. Bernanke has shown some distaste for Social Security also.

I remember a hearing in which he was asked about cutting "entitlements," and he answered something to the effect that was Congress's job. I interpreted that to be a subtle hint of support on Bernanke's part for cuts to Social Security.

So, Obama is, again, as he did with the public option, putting on a big show for those foolish enough to trust him with regard to anything after he failed to keep so many promises.

Remember his pre-election stances on Guantanamo, on the rules about what it takes to form a union in the workplace, on how he would put on his walking shoes in support of unions, just to name a couple of Obama's important campaign promises.

Bottom line is Obama is a closet conservative, a closet Republican. Well, he is coming out of his closet. It's time to find a challenger for 2012. Otherwise we will be too late.
