I'm a HUGE Bill Maher fan so after every episode I watch Overtime on HBO.com/Overtime. After this particular episode Ann asked Bill "So what do you think about the U.S. intervening in Egypt and Libya?" to which Bill replied "We didn't intervene in Egypt", to which Ann then spent 5 minutes claiming that we bombed Egypt to remove Mubarak from power, after getting lambasted by Bill she finally walked back her lies by then claiming that "well we threatened him with bombs". Hilarity then ensued after that watching Ann get caught have no idea what she's talking about. As usual.

But I agreed with the Casey Anthony verdict. The prosecution didn't make their case.

I kind of wish Bill hadn't joined the pile-on of the Anthony jurors, but I kind of understand why he did; the idiot Republicans are IME the very people most likely to be outraged over the verdict, so he's rubbing their face in it. But yeah, the prosecutors seriously had no case; they couldn't establish that the child was murdered, and even if she was they couldn't establish that it was any more likely Casey did the deed than, say, her father or some unknown stranger. While it's very obvious something bad happened and bad stuff was done, they made no case at all that Casey was specifically guilty of anything more serious than being a ditz. And in the end, that's what they returned guilty for -- she lied to the cops for dramatic effect. Ditzy, but not murder.
