I think I'm beginning to make clear the fact that Rep. Bachmann is not my favorite member of Congress. In fact, I have kicked two other vids to underscore this fact.

2. Uh oh, she's pulling a Sharon Angle
fundraising on Faux. We have to go there to see her "titanium spine." Or watch this video to see her cornmeal mush brain. She sounds like she begins every day with a generous helping of qualudes.

Reminds me of that great Cheech & Chong bit in a courtroom.

"Hey, your honor, man, I don't need no marijuana man, and I don't need no acid, man. 'Cause I'm hooked on DOWNERS!"

3. Does that include those farm program payments you and your family receives but doesn't need?
And what about the public money your foster children program received? Does that get cut, too?

What does a Member of Congress make? Around $175,000? Plus all of the other perks that go with the job.

If for nothing else but symbolism, I'd like to see just one of these jokers offer to cut their wages by 10% or more, pay more into their health care, contribute more to their pension and significantly cut their allowances on their staff, travel and other things with their jobs. I've never heard one peep from any of them to make such a move. It's all been about cutting Social Security, Medicare and other safety net programs for the lower and middle class. Oh, and don't touch that military budget, either.

4. I may be a little slow but what IS the runaway spending they want
to see cut? I never hear about any specific programs, other than medicare and social security, which they're sometimes for leaving alone...

Bachmann IS my favourite right now (used to be Herman Cain) but the laughs coming out of the Bachmann camp are much better.

5. She thinks we can balance the budget right now, without cutting defense, SS, or medicare.
She says just pay the interest on the current debt, pay defense, Social Security, and Medicare, then cut all the other government spending. Guess what? That doesn't add up. Quelle surprise!

Actually, SS and Medicare have their own tax, FICA, that pays for them. The deficit comes from government spending from the "General Fund." That spending goes into deficit just from interest on the national debt and defense. If you did cut everything else--education, police, weather forecasting, etc.--you'd still have a deficit.

6. god that was annoying... but certainly Bachmann has tamped down on the crazy
and sounded almost "reasonable" there. I worry about her appeal, if she keeps this up.

But overall, the BS there was overwhelming.

7. what is either cut out or left unsaid is that Bachmann thinks we don't need to raise the ceiling, we
just keep cutting until we're below the ceiling? Seriously?

9. New makeup
Edited on Tue Jul-12-11 09:44 AM by bongbong
The only notable thing from this propaganda piece is that she is now using the lip gloss brand "Vote For Me And You'll Get A BJ From Me" sold by Revlon.

How soon till the $arah-style winking begins? I'm guessing after the Iowa primaries.

10. She's been wrong before with historical facts
and she's wrong now. Let her splinter the GOP. Oh, and she should really cut some spending on her eye makeup, really - just WAY too much.
