2. +1
if we don't - it will destroy the plant - capitalism knows only profit - and will rape the earth until there is no more profit to be had - no more trees to be cut - no more creatures in the oceans.

4. Agree, of course -- except that Capitalism isn't intended to benefit the many ...
Edited on Wed Jul-13-11 01:04 PM by defendandprotect
it's about enriching the few -- and it's largely succeeded at that --

Obviously, it's a mistake to bail out capitalism -- to subsidize it -- and

that's what the bail outs did here and in Europe.

Europeans aren't "throwing money at citizens" any more than America is doing that --

they're throwing money at capitalists/elites -- and that's what we have to stop.

We are all labor -- with or without unions -- we have to organize with that thought in mind!!

3. Capitalism is CANCER.

"Capitalism is the astounding belief that the wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone." ~John Maynard Keynes

"The crippling of individuals I consider the worst evil of capitalism. Our whole educational system suffers from this evil. An exaggerated competitive attitude is inculcated into the student, who is trained to worship acquisitive success as a preparation for his future career." ~Albert Einstein

"It's impossible for capitalism to survive, primarily because the system needs blood to suck... And as the peoples of the world free themselves, capitalism has less victims, less to suck, and it becomes weaker and weaker. It's only a matter of time, in my opinion, before it will collapse completely." ~Malcolm X

6. Captalism work find in the frame work FDR put up to restrain it's excesses. All we need to do
is out that frame work back in place. There really aren't any alternatives.

7. I think it is beginning to implode, all over the world.
It is/was an evil, heartless, cruel and dangerous to all living things, system.

8. It can't be evil and cruel
It can be heartless and dangerous, in the same way as rocks and rivers and other inanimate objects. To ascribe to capitalism anything more than the 'rule of greed', that capital must always increase, is to give it too much credit.
