Bachmann & Associates preaching "pray away the gay?"

Wayne Besen,

"Majority of Americans think it's nonsense...however among Evengelical Christians it's still very popular."

"There are still people taking money UNETHICALLY in our view for trying to cure gay and lesbian people."

The Bachmann clinic accepts approximately $150,000 in federal Medicaid.Medicare $.

1. So, does my attraction to Thomas Roberts mean I need "gay away!"?
I love the "just because you feel it and think it doesn't mean it's true" statement.

That's what RELIGION is! They just feel it and think it's true, because there is zero proof that any religion is founded in reality.

I think I'll start a clinic of nothing but gay and lesbian councilors to help people "think away the religion".

2. Yes, but you know what they say about freaks like Bachman?
This dude has skeletons in his closet. It will be coming out any day now.

4. Yes, anyone who has supposedly studied the art and science of counseling
to the level of graduate school, in order to be certified to accept patients, anyone who refuses to look at the evidence which clearly frowns upon "reparitive therapies" being applied to gay people, that's one dangerous person, one conflicted quack.

And if it quacks like a duck....

5. My thoughts exactly
That man is so closeted, I wouldn't be surprised if he used this clinic as a way to pick-up men.

3. LOL May be you jut need a "manly touch"! ..but seriously
I thought this video piece was very well done and summarized the issue in a framework we can look at as rational people, gay or straight.... religious indoctrination and prayer is never an answer to life's issues.

I respect religious people as long as they apply rationality and logic and scientific research to their daily lives as well as their use of their faith to help them through life. I personally don't have a religious faith and I am not knocking those who do, as long as they are not using religious beliefs to fight against rational science or against equal rights for all people.
