25. yeah, but that was back when a slave was a slave! today's |
|
pseudo-slaves just don't do the job. seriously though, chinese goods of any kind have a poor rep . . . at least in my house. i remember when buying japanese meant inferior goods and that wasn't even necessarily true! however, i avoid chinese goods . . . because some of them could kill me. you get what you pay for has never been more true. i guess the chinese are finding that out too.

Parts are on the way. I hope our inspectors are the very best in their field. Even then, I think I'd try to avoid using it.

7. Yay! They're finally getting the hang of the Capitalism stuff! |
|
"Only Nixon could go to China."
And apparently he dumped a steaming coil of ideas about Corporate Welfare and privatization while he was there.
Now they'll no doubt put some middle management stooge who had nothing to do with it in front of a firing squad, and then claim every thing is alright again, and carry on with the next project.

parts of the Golden Gate Bridge? Might be wrong bridge but it was some American bridge.

If they were inspected by the same people who inspected the highway, they will land on Taiwan two and a half minutes after launching.

I can't wait to drive over the new span of the Bay Bridge. After all, "Made in China" means quality.
:sarcasm:
Since it is likely that California will not be acquiring the rail cars for the future high speed rail line from domestic sources, then I really hope we get them from Japan or Europe and not China. Same with SMART.
On a side note, I wonder if anyone will be executed as a result of this highway collapse.
