of line. After all human shields, American working class and poor, are there to keep the enemy, Republicans, from shooting at the person shielded, Obama. The Republicans are not holding their fire against either us or Obama, so the analogy is BS and should be called as such.
However, what Obama is doing is just as bad or worse.
Obama, instead of standing firm on the principles he ran on keeps holding the baby, his supporters and all Americans, over the flames and threatening to drop us into the flames, unless the Republicans behave rationally.
He may see this as metaphorical or just political gamesmanship, but is it effecting Americans every day when he threatens to cause us harm. We are not politicians, we are not chess pieces. We are not theoretical, or statistical. We are real people hearing our leader desert us over and over and over and over.
Even before he was elected he was reneging on his own promises. So how can we rely on him to stand up for any of his promises? And what actually is his promise on the SS/Medicare/deficit/debt ceiling issue(s)?
He frequently does drop us, when he caves, and he caves frequently, and is likely to do it again in a couple of weeks if not this weekend. How can we trust him, this time, when he has betrayed us so many times before? And why should we trust him?
How much support would he have if he would draw a line in the sand as call to anyone who would fight with him to come across that line and face the enemy with him.
It is not like hundreds of thousands of his supporters have not signed petitions, written letters, called Reps offices, marched in the streets, make comments like this by the millions, all in support of the things that he promised.
How much stronger Obama would be if he took a stand and let us stand beside him and fight.
We don't even know who's side he is on because of the games he likes to play.
We are the pawns to be maneuvers for his protection, and for sacrifice.
That is not why I voted for him.
And we did not elect him to become his cannon fodder.
