The President announces that he will nominate Richard Cordray to be Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and commends Elizabeth Warren for her work in setting up the new bureau. July 18, 2011.

(The White House YouTube videos are dominated by trolls and usually have tight like/dislike ratios...reflective of how the next election will turn out?)

1. This is good, but the prick party......
won't aprove a yes vote on anything Obama wants, so another stalemate.

2. liking obama 2.0.... he's got some fight in his voice
This is a good speech and a good choice by all accounts for this important post. for all those Obama skeptics here, i challenge you to watch this video, with Warren supporting him at his side, and a strong choice to lead this consumer protection agency, and tell me he's not fighting for us.. it's primarily congress and the repukes that are the problem... and if Obama can keep on this track of using the bully pulpit and clever strategy on things like the debt ceiling debate, and offering fair compromise in the face of Republican intransigence and tough budget choices, AND "News" Corp goes down in flames.. who knows what we could accomplish?.
