13. If republicans were honest, hardly anyone would vote for them.

They would get the top 1%, the "greedy rich", and they would get that 25% of cranks, misfits, and weirdos that reliably supports right-wing extremism no matter how crazy or anti-American. So let's see, that's 1% plus 25%. How many elections can you win with 26% of the vote?

Of course republicans lie constantly - they have to in order to survive! They are just lucky that there is another 25% or so who are stupid, uninformed, and gullible - the perfect victims for conservative crap. The fact that their benighted supporters are working tirelessly against their own economic interests just makes it that much sweeter for the extremists on the right.
