It's gonna happen. You think Obama is gonna begin showing backbone now? I know you're not that stupid. So quit bothering trying to tell him that. He doesn't give a fuck about 90% of the population of the United States, same as everyone else in Washington.

Obama making a deal with big Pharm (part of it is that we will not negotiate for lower prices with Canada). the Dems accepted it and it is now part of the new insurance reform law. Sorry but to me Obama has already touched the big three and it is only a matter of how much and when it will go into effect.

He cut the SS payroll deductions, remember? That's how it starts, you know. I have no idea what you base your certainty on. If he's not going to, then why did he say they were on the table? And why the hell is he scaring everybody by dangling this out there?

4. Stunningly well done, Ed! Well, if PO does cut SS, there will be too much fracturing in this party |
|
to prevent a 3rd party run by someone.
If he doesn't agree to cuts, despite all the repeated articles and stories that show him saying things that sound like he is for them, then it will be a relatively easy win for him, but if there are cuts to the core programs that Democratic virtues are based upon, just so we can get SOME money back from the ultra millionaires, then there will be no smiles on November 6, 2012.
Big Ed, thank you!

23. Ed catches a lot of flack here.... |
|
But Goddamnit, the guy's passionate and he cares and his head is screwed on straight. He cares about the issues that ALL Democrats should care about. If the Democrats cave on the "big three", it will be the beginning of the end of the Democratic party. If Obama gives an inch on the "big three" he should be run out of the Democratic party. Sure, there are dozens if not hundreds of issues that are important to the Democrats, but few if any that are so important to so many as the "big three". Shit, given the 80% that Ed showed several times, this is a big issue not only to Democrats, but most repukes and tea-partiers. Godamnit, Mr. President, it is time to shit or get off the pot! Are you a Democrat or not! If you give an inch on this, you have no right to call yourself a Democrat, and should NOT seek a second term based on your unwillingness to even attempt to fight for those things you told us you held dear during your campaign. Fight for us and lose, and I won't hold it against you, roll over without a fight, and I will curse your name for the rest of my life!

I didn't care for Ed's defense of our folly in Libya, but he deserves props for this.
And so does your post, Frisbee. Ok to e-mail your last sentence to a few people in Washington?

I hope it does at least some degree of good, though more and more I fear we are fighting a losing battle, as are the few congresspeople who actually try to fight for their constituents instead of their largest campaign donors.

Just say no to the "Conceder in Chief". Spineless and has lost his convictions that he wrote (ghost written?) in "The Audacity of Hope" and "Dreams from My Father." Get your nut sack in play...your messaging has none!
