It is pretty disturbing that a guy like Cenk, reporters, and other TV personalities have to follow suit or else. It is pretty sad actually and it would be weird if he didn't get annoyed by this.

7. Ratings

Unfortunately for Cenk, ratings are instant these days and he went on vacation!

He's angry, I get it! His decision to air his grievances so publicly is a future job killer.

9. 2 Critical Points

1. Cenk was told he wouldn't be getting the show BEFORE Sharpton filled in for him. This was at the end of June. That in and of itself makes Sharpton's ratings totally irrelevant to this story, and it's unfortunate that some people are trying to make this Cenk Vs Sharpton (Cenk has nothing against Sharpton).

2. In his announcement on TYT Cenk never talks about Sharpton's ratings (nothing negative about Sharpton at all). He just correctly points out that once he (to an extent) started doing the show his way the ratings went up AND that in the 3 months that make up Q2 of 2011 he beat CNN and improved on Schultz'z ratings from this time last year (he praises Schultz in that clip btw).

I've been meaning to ask you your take on this. I did see him last night on KO, which is where I heard him talk about the ratings. And I know that he has no issue with Sharpton, didn't say that at all. He's always seemed awfully good humored to me, even when dealing with those he politically opposes. I'm just bummed out, is all, since his and Rachel's were the shows that were must-see for me. :( :hi:

14. I left a job on principal

Left one evil empire radio broadcaster, only to land in a worse situation at the other evil radio broadcaster!
Oh I was so brave and my coworkers applauded me and then they went back to work and promptly forgot about me and my name was never spoken again.

Kinda like Keith olbermann not talking to Rachel since he left MSNBC It's weird unwritten rules in broadcasting, when someone leaves under difficult situation, best to behave like nothing happen.

It's a brutal biz and principal doesn't pay the bills.

He should have taken the gobs of dough they were offering, go home and spend time with his wife and new baby!
