1. I am so looking forward to seeing this - it seems that distribution has been
extremely restricted - at least from the point of view of someone living in Indiana. It is showed in one location in my state and it has already closed there. :-(

I am left waiting for it to come out on DVD.

2. EXCEPTIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL FILM - A MUST SEE!
I, too, was disappointed by this film's limited showing. My husband and I just happened to find it showing locally. Another disappointment was that we were the only ones in the whole theater on a Saturday night. The "entertainment" and "reality escape" films had the biggest draw. NOT surprising, but very sad. It seems the main stream population will not accept the reality of our diminishing environment until their comfort level is directly and negatively affected. That is coming.

Surprising, too, was that the marketing of this film was not more aggressive. I thought surely they could have looked for marketing opportunities by partnering with some biggies like Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, Wearable Planet. The one store here that requested a poster never received it.

Thanks for posting the listings. We can all do our parts.

Stay green!:bounce:

3. Welcome to DU, chinamomx2 --
:hi:

I think they should rush release of the DVD and then we can get busy showing it in our living rooms and local independent theaters and churches and schools and...

People DO want to see these movies...

I checked my local library last Spring and was shocked to see that they owned only 5 copies of "An Inconvenient Truth" and there was a waiting list of 72 people who wanted to check it out. I contacted friends to see if we could scrounge up copies to donate to the library and couldn't find any so I order 16 copies and donated them. No more wait time! The library owns 21 copies and when I've checked the past few months there are usually only 5-6 copies on the shelves, the rest are consistently checked out!

I showed the "11th Hour" trailer to one of my college classes and several students asked me when it was going to be in theaters -- one even asked if they could get extra-credit by attending the movie and writing a report. It hasn't come to town, so I will have to wait and show the trailer again when I have copies to share.

I am staying green and dragging as many people with me as I can.

6. If they don't watch it now, they'll watch it in droves in months to come.

7. THANKS FOR THE GOOD NEWS!
I am glad to hear people want to see these movies! Most of my neo-con neighbors think Global Warming is still a myth and not caused by humans. New evidence does not convince them much.

Here is the "take action" link from the film to pass on:

Peace to all.

4. Saw it opening night...
at the Arclight in Hollywood, with special guest Tom Hartmann leading a discussion afterward.
Awesome.
Leo is completely terrific. Period. Power to him, and all of us.
