1. GG lost me with...

"the US and its allies have brought killing like this... violence like this to numerous countries around the world."

Really, Glenn, we've sent a soldier into a youth camp and massacred 60-70 kids and young adults at a time?

The point that many news agencies wrongly declared the attacks to be done by jihadists or Muslim extremists was important to make, but gets undermined by the false equivalency.

Also, the coverage in terms of intensity didn't seem any different than the Spain train bombings.

2. False Equivalency?
Lets see, we've killed civilians in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and likely killed them in Somalia, Yemen, etc. Aren't we just the beacon of love, peace and Christianity. I guess as long as we aren't putting a boot on the ground when we blow them up, its AOK. Wake up.

3. Damn right. Massacreing kids at a youth camp is nothing at all like
bombing wedding parties or funerals.

7. Damn right.

Are you saying we sought out funeral and wedding parties specifically with no military value?

Don't get me wrong. I want us out of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The deaths to civilians is just one reason. But we're not seeking out Iraqi youth camps to kill the next generation.

10. No, but if someone blows you up, what difference does it make
to you whether they meant to or not? That entity should still be accountable.

6. Yes of course.....
...it's always better to kill innocent children with Predator Drones. Cleaner that way. No muss, no fuss.

- And people wonder how the US could end up this way.......

Damn, damn, damn, DAMN!!!!

8. Tens of thousands of civilians dead in Iraq and Afghanistan don't count
because we're "the good guys". And they don't count in our media because they don't look or dress like us - they're different.

5.  John Brennan, claims 0 colatteral damge w/ drones.....LIES again
http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/radio/2011/07/19/drones/index.html

here is the 1st paragraph..............

In late June, President Obama's chief Terrorism adviser, John Brennan, made an extraordinary claim about drone attacks in Pakistan: "in the last year, 'there hasn't been a single collateral death because of the exceptional proficiency, precision of the capabilities that we've been able to develop." He added: "if there are terrorists who are within an area where there are women and children or others, you know, we do not take such action that might put those innocent men, women and children in danger."

intense investigations finds this to be false.........
