As we inch closer toward default, critics of leadership from both sides of the aisle are demanding too much. The Tea Party's desire to default is totally insane, the Republican's assault on Americans is vile, and the 14th Amendment talks from the left could cost the president significantly in 2012. With a Republican House using this as an opportunity to destroy our nation's social safety net while asking nothing of the top income bracket, we simply have to hope for the best. Because that's the reality of the situation.
