Perry stinks and Obama will resurge in the next few months.

2. I think we should take it seriously though. |
|
One of the aforementioned goofballs will get the nomination and has a chance to win.
We used to say that the country wouldn't stand for another Bush and we got 8 years of the worst president in the history of presidents. Never say never.

corporate funding, the corporate right wing media, the crooked voting machines, the crooked polls supervision, lost, stolen and then suddenly found ballot bags and boxes, the ESS/GOPer supervised vote counting and the crooked courts.
Democracy in America don't stand much of a chance. Trust is a thing of the past.

always. Of course it is possible that Perry is such a marginalizing figure that 2012 may be an exception. But unfortunately, it is altogether possible that this pattern could prevail and Perry could win - God forbid and heaven help us - but it is possible.

Everybody is assuming that the "fan favorite" will ultimately be the nominee.
I'm betting the GOP leaders will allow Perry/Bachmann etal to excite the base and then will convince them over the winter that Romney is the only one that can actually beat Obama (but imply that that secretly Romney is just as radical as Perry). They'll put up a very right wing VP (Rubio?) as a sop to the base. That is more problematical, but not as fun as anticipating a debate between Obama and Perry.
