I mentioned to a coworker of mine that I was sort of over the whole "9/11 Memorial" thing because it fails to really rally Americans to reflect on the real issues, such as, who was really responsible; why we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan, or whether or not we have learned ANYTHING about Islam, or the danger of extremism.

I might as well have thrown acid in her face. She became instantly upset and said that I was a heartless prick who doesn't deserve to live in this country after all those who have died fighting for "my" freedom have done... blah, blah, blah. I am originally from Jamaica. I'm mentioning that because she went on to say that if it wasn't for people fighting for my freedom, I wouldn't be "allowed" to live in this country.

After her spiel, it was clear that she may never talk to me again... Oh well.
