Thom Hartmann recalls events of September 11, 2001 and how the U.S. could have made a more progressive response. (Brief summary: Hartmann had been vacationing in Australia, fell ill, got his flight from Sydney to Burlington, Vt. moved up, came back to Vermont midnight of 9/11, and first heard of the attacks in the afternoon.)

1. Bush was on the wrong path way before 9/11.
One of the many reasons that all the warnings they received were ignored was because from the very beginning, they were focused on Iraq. If it didn't point to Saddam, they weren't interested.
