1. Style over substance rules. Most people prefer a candidate who
exudes confidence and will not permit himself to be
rolled. For the GOP voter, it is not so much what he
says but HOW HE SAYS IT. They want a candidate who has
a "comeback" to everything thrown at him. No Wimps need
apply.

Goddamned drunks will want to have a beer with anyone who's buying. And once George (or Rick) get them good and drunk so they pass out, they can steal their pension and send them off to wake up hungover in one of those Republican wars.
