Deep within' the economically ravaged neighborhood of the lower East End of Dayton, Ohio, one man is pursuing a vision of a totally new way of thinking and doing everything. Ken Carman, whose organization feed Dayton has provided healthy, nutritious food to the needy grown from urban gardens within' the city, is on an expanded mission now.

As the founder of the Miami Valley Regional Center for Sustainability, Carman is on a mission to transform the former Crowne Manufacturing building on Torrence Avenue in Dayton into a completely sustainable, off-the-grid building that supplies its own power through a number of means, among them using compost to provide heat in the winter, and a growth engine for agriculture in the growing season.

1. Good for them! I know what an economically run down area that is and this
is just what it needs. I'm sure the poor people in that area are thankful that this man has vision.
