1. Obviously in this hypothetical situation of a 30 year old man with a good job, he pays |
|
even if he has no insurance. The implication in this specific situation is that he has money, he chose not to get insurance. No insurance, he gets the bill. Why should society pay for his medical costs if he has money to pay the bills?
Yes, it was a posed and set-up question because the vast, vast majority of those who do not have insurance are uninsured because they either cannot get insurance or cannot afford it. Not because they want to skip insurance so they can make their boat payments.

2. Wolf said "$200-$300 a month. Since when is health insurance that low? |
|
Even for a single, 30-year old, since when is health insurance that low? Unless an employer is fronting the majority of the cost, his rate would be higher.
He can't be talking about a high-deductible with a Health Savings Account to cover the deductible.
The cost is much higher than the fictitious $200-$300 a month.

4. It's the corporate media. Surely you're not foolish enough to expect better of them. |
|
This is what they DO. It's their JOB. They get PAID for it, probably a hell of a lot more than YOU do. Why SHOULDN'T they try to do their job to the best of their ability?
If you don't like it, you need to remove the control and ownership of media from corporate hands. It's that simple, and that hard.
