2. Great interview.
I especially enjoyed Danny Schechter's comments about the press.

I watched a little Midwestern TV this past week. It was painful.

Frankly, I don't see how anyone can pay good money for a cable subscription as long as they are broadcasting the kind of "news" they are. It was just unbearable.

I could not control myself and made sarcastic comments -- which resulted in the TV being turned off. It was an enormous relief for me and no loss for anyone else. Selfish on my part, but I just cannot bear the constant sales pitch for inane ideas. It's incredible.

But it is no surprise that our government is so utterly stupid when the American people are misinformed by the press each evening. MSNBC and Current are OK -- as are Jon Stewart and Colbert, but there is very little else . . . . that I am aware of.
