1. Excellent! And if the MSM had always dealt with police

brutality this way, it would never have reached the point where so many innocent people have been abused and even killed by our Civilian Police who don't seem to know, maybe it is not part of their training, who pays their salaries and why.

I see Paul Browne, spokesperson (and close friend) for Police Commissioner, is playing fast and loose with the truth again. The problem for Browne this time is that there are so many eye-witnesses.

I love Laurence's factual opening statement, no blurring of the issue at all. 'The troublemakers were carrying pepper spray and guns and wearing badges'.

If only we had more truth in journalism like this.

I was watching the march on livestream right before this happened. It was awe-inspiring, everyone was in a good mood, they were singing and chanting and someone had a drum which they were marching in step to, just citizens in a democracy, exercising their 1st Amendment rights. I thought the police had learned from the violent arrests they had conducted on Wednesday, that it was best to just do the right thing this time. What resulted from that attack was double the numbers of people in the park that night.

Then, the footage showed a wall of Police when the marchers approached the area you see in the video and suddenly it seemed 'all hell broke loose'. Had they not been there, the march would have proceeded with only minor disruptiong of traffic, not much more than is usual in NYC, and everyone would have gone back to Liberty Plaza. But the Police chose not only to attack the protesters, but to block traffic by preventing the march from proceeding.

:applause: for LOD, and Keith and Amy Goodman for keeping the facts straight. We are so not used to that anymore.

3. I have had alot of respect

for LOD since the night he went off and told everyone he was a socialist.

He is spot on about the majority of police departments in this country. In their eyes we are all perps, or soon will be.
They are more of a paramilitary force than a peace keeping force. What ever happened to the local beat cop that everyone in the neighborhood knew and respected? They are all just emotionless faces we see pass by in their patrol cars.

It would be nice to see this get the coverage it deserves.

I seem to recall that NYC had to pay a lot of money to protesters who were illegally detained at the RNC Convention. How much money is this fascist pig costing the city to settle lawsuits? Now they will likely have to assign officers just to protect his sorry ass. I know if one of those women who were sprayed were my wife or girfriend, I would find a way to get that mutherfucker.
