Amazing video. The people's media tells the truth, no editing, no one talking over it. It's as if you were there.

They marched onto the bridge, peacefully. They were met by a wall of police. When it was all over at least 700 people were arrested.

The caption at the end of the video says that the police singled out African American and other minority protesters. I can't say if that is true just from watching it once.

There are reports that they have to keep people in police paddy wagons as there is no room in their jails. The Temperature is around 40 degrees.

They arrested children. What are they thinking? Whoever is ordering this is only going to make this movement grow. Tonight the park is full of people. Viewership of the livestream has increased at least five times what it has been so far.

H/t to DUer Catherina for the link to this video ~

I feel like crying just watching it. Beautiful people! Love them all for what they are doing for all of us.

18. That is good to hear. People from European countries have complained
that they are not getting any news on their media either. This is a global problem, and thankfully this movement has gone global with several European countries now occupying their financial districts.

good strategy as each time they do this, starting on the first Wednesday then last weekend, it only increases the crowds. It won't end it, already they must see all it does is make it grow.

Yesterday when thousands marched on Police Plaza, the police arrested no one, they stayed back and everything went fine. It is the police who are causing the disturbances.

What I'm worried about is that this is a strategy. This police coverage and the arrests all cost money. I wouldn't be surprised if they are running up a bill so they get New Yorkers angry about the protests. Bloomberg will tell them, they are costing the city millions which we don't have so we are going to have to move them out. Using the cost could get people upset.

Bloomberg wants to end it but he doesn't know how. People should not accept that if this is what they are planning.

Edited to say I don't know how that video is appearing in this comment. I did not post a link. Strange!

7. "It increases the crowds."
I don't suppose it's occurred to anyone that the union cops aren't our enemies? Just a Machiavellian thought whispering through my brain.

10. You must not have been following this story.
From the beginning the protesters have been inviting the cops to join them. They have constantly said to them 'you are with us' over and over again. They have offered them food and coffee. A few of the cops have told them they would be would be with them if they were not in uniform.

Don't worry, at their Assembly meetings they have reiterated that they want the cops on their side and any kind of anger towards them is discouraged.

Where did you get the idea that they don't want the cops to join them? Or that they don't know they are part of the 99%? It's been repeated over and over from the very beginning. In fact there are several photos of cops posing with some of the protesters in the beginning, smiling and very friendly. But obviously orders were given to the cops, which the protesters understand, to crack down on them.

Hopefully over time, and I have read it has happened already, some of the cops have refused to work overtime on the protests because they do sympathize with them, and agree with them. The protesters constantly remind them that they are facing lay-offs also.

I really wish people would stop jumping to conclusions and maybe either do some research or ask before assuming things. From the beginning every assumption about this movement has been wrong.

8. At around 5.18 you can see the little girl who was arrested, just
standing off to the right. She is the girl in the photo in the OP.

Btw, I don't know why the video showed up in my comment above. I am not linking it.

9. Where does it repeat?
It went on for a long time, hours I believe. The video is only 6 minutes so they probably edited out some of it. I didn't notice any looping though.

17. Once the second video of him spraying others with pepper spray hit the
internet and the news media, the PTB pulled him off demonstration duty, and it was announced that Internal Affairs would investigate ... crickets ... nothing to see here.
