On the tenth anniversary of the war in Afghanistan, thousands unite at Freedom Plaza, demanding that politicians take notice. They say their message is loud and clear: stop reckless spending on wars abroad and stop corporate corruption which they say benefits a privileged few. Protesters say this is just the beginning and they plant to occupy DC until they see some real change.

2. A retired high ranking Army officer just testified against the Keystone XL pipeline

He feels that American soldiers will continue to lose their lives until we give up our addiction to oil. That the money we spend on war needs to return to this country to build up our infra structure and to help the nation fully move into alternate energy.

I really wish the Keystone protesters and the "Occupy" protesters and the anti war protesters were running the government, and not the bought and paid for people we get to "Choose" to run the government every four years.
