1. Whose brilliant idea was this?
Trying to run down protesters with a vehicle.. will be an attorney's field day!

6. With the multi-million donations from the wall st.. thieves,
they are just trying to give them their money's worth.

Obviously it is not just corporate-owned politicians that are the problem, they buy the police too.

10. Maybe a few attorneys can
rich off, suing those police officers and departments, who think this is an okay thing to do. Assault with a moving vehicle.

16. And if a citizen even BRUSHED a cop with a motorbike, the cop would shoot them dead.
The police report would read: "and fearing for my life, I drew my service weapon and fired 9 shots striking the suspect. the suspect was transported to the hospital. DOA"

18. No doubt about that. Remember the lady who accidentally ran
over a policeman's foot with her car? She was convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon.

There are hundreds of cases of citizens accidentally touching a police officer with their vehicle, who are successfully prosecuted up to attempted murder. Ours is a corporate police state.

2. While the pigs are harassing unarmed non criminals
who is protecting NY for the real crooks, who are probably loving every minute of the city's obsession with unarmed nonviolent protestors?

This is all kind of like a mini bin Laden stupid reaction without the initial attack. Governments overreact and waste time and money, and make the situation worse.

4. Unionized public sector employees repressing the Movement that would save their jobs...
Back in the early 1900's, mine owners, garment factory owners and the like hired goons, thugs and guards to keep workers from forming labor unions. Eventually, public workers unionized too. Now a segment of the police are back doing the bidding of the side that would fire them outright, cut wages, benefits and pensions. Just like Goldman Sachs paid them to do.

My UMW organizing ancestors are weeping in their graves.

On the plus side: lots of public unions are standing in support.

But hey, he's part of the one percent. Mayor Bloomberg: The Whole World is Watching you unleash your goons against unarmed citizens seeking redress for the government's non response to treasury looting by Wall Street shysters. Shame on Bloomberg and his goons.

14. Need anyone say more....
This is class warfare. Bloomberg, Obama and all those in power are running scared that the people will rise up. They are not unlike the police states in the Middle East or elsewhere They will make it look a littler prettier but it is still the same. they will intimidate and brutalize people into an expected submission to their corporate masters. Are we are revolution or are we a whimper in the night?

1. Is anyone else reminded of Tianamen Square?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiananmen_Square

2. It is a scientific fact that young people hear higher tones than older people.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5434687

It sounded to me as though the horns on the police officers' bikes had very high pitches. Stores in shopping malls have been known to emit high frequency tones from their premises in order to prevent young people who are annoyed by those tones from congregating in front of the stores. I theorize that using horns with an annoying high frequency sound may be a means of making young people nervous and easily angered.

So, if you go to these demonstrations, bring good ear plugs to protect your ears. Those horns to my ears were projecting very shrill sounds.

Seems to me the police should be trying to calm down the crowds not anger or frustrate them.

Watch out guys. These officers will use any trick in the book. They are just playing a game.

20. Wasn't there video footage of Mubarak's police running people down
with trucks? Does Bloomberg think it's okay because the vehicles running down our protestors have two wheels instead of four?
