John Niles, American Veterans for Peace, joins Thom Hartmann. There was another violent police crackdown against the 99% movement - this time it wasn't in New York City - but instead in Boston. As the occupy Boston movement - now in its second week - grew beyond its original campsite in Dewey Square - demonstrators moved into a new space a block away yesterday - prompting police to surround the demonstrators and shut down the occupation in the middle of the night. Among the first line of people to be arrested were those with the group Veterans for Peace - war veterans who had their American flags yanked from their hands and thrown on to the ground - before being tackled themselves and arrested. One victim speaks out with Thom.

1. I don't know, call me a "fuddy-duddy," but I'd be really careful if I were a cop...
...about assaulting a vet, especially if that vet was Iraq-war hardened.

It strikes me as something you just don't do...

2. The many
who were Iraq-war broken are those that can go snap.

Those that were first broken and then able to piece themselves together again are bastions of peace.
