Occupy Tacoma marches from People's Park to Tollefson Plaza. 600+ young and old turned out to support Occupy Wall Street and Tacoma's own occupation Day 1.

Filmed by Larkworthy Antfarm

As you can see, we are a diverse group: Young , old, disabled, vets, students, unions. The 99% turned out in full force. Click through to the Youtube video and give us a thumbs up. It was a perfect day to stand up for democracy!

5. Day 1
At first, it seemed as if the police might arrest all the campers, as dozens of police massed nearby, but then they disappeared as suddenly as they arrived. Could be because the park they occupied belonged to the state rather than the city. Campers were safe until early in the morning when the sprinklers went off.

Cold, wet but undeterred. Tons of food arrived. Pizzas from across the street. Stew. A church sent hamburgers and hotdogs. Tents. Tarps. Seattle sent supplies. In the morning the group cleaned the park and hung the sleeping bags out to dry!
