He brought donuts!

Niki Tsongas is running for Congress in MA-5, and election day is tomorrow.
GOTV, Senator!

JK blogged about Niki today at BlueMassGroup with some instructions for election day volunteers. It's not too late to lend a hand.

1. Mass constituents
should be so glad to have Kerry and Kennedy. Good Luck to Niki Tsongas.

3. Her opponent is an evil Republican
who wants to continue Bush's war.

4. Sure. The 5th Mass US house district
sprawls along the northern end of Massachusetts that bumps up against the NH border and down into the Concord and Wayland area. This is a very, very diverse district that is probably the most conservative part of the State. The district went for Mitt Romney in the 2002 Governor's race, but went for Democrat Deval Patrick in the 06 Governor's race. (But by the lowest totals in the Commonwealth.)

The district has one of the lowest per capita municipalities in the State in the city of Lawrence and one of the highest per capita towns in Concord. The last time a Republican won the district was in 1972 (John Kerry lost the seat in the General.)

Tsongas is ahead currently 51-42, but the polls in special elections are iffy at best. Better to do a full court press and bring out the troops than mourn later.

7. LOL, I love your assessment.
And you beat me to the answer. I didn't see it, we cross-posted. Plus, this night before the special election is a little crazy.

Nice summary. I whole-heartedly concur.

8. I was going for brevity.
Good luck to you and to Niki tomorrow. I know how hard you're all working to keep that district blue.
