And to look at what has happened in Libya - the saber rattling in Iran - I think it's too soon to consider the nightmare/quagmire of troops occupying Iraq over....

3. Two things, it was Bush's promise he kept AND the Iraqis threw us out before Obama wanted.

He wanted to keep a "few thousand" there for "training purposes" when the Iraqis decided they could not stay unless they were accountable to Iraqi law, when those negotiations failed to pass as Obama wanted, he decided it would be wrong for them to stay AND follow the law, so he decided to honor Bush's promise after all.

But I understand the political need to spin it in a way as to make a politician appear a hero, it is "campaign season".
