Would there have been an Arab Spring without social media? How much do Egyptians owe to Facebook and Twitter? Have we seen a Twitter revolution or a people's revolution? And is calling it a Facebook revolution a good way to discredit people's ability to mobilize and push for reforms? CT-ing with Danny Schechter, John Perry Barlow and Laurie Penny on Oct. 24.

The report was that the police were massing to evict the occupiers and people started to pour into the area from all over the city. The overflow was all over both sides of the main drag.

It happened so fast that social media had to have been used.

Apparently they had to cool their heels for some hours until the crowd thinned.

This is another way nonviolence works: drive up the tab for overtime.
