There used to be a time in America - when as the country grew wealthier - everyone got wealthier. Following World War 2 - as Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal was taking hold - and a third of the workforce was unionized - and we protected our domestic manufacturing industries - and corporate monopolies were illegal - EVERYONE got wealthier in America.
