".....This footage is proof that Scott Olsen was shot in the face by police without provocation during the Occupy Oakland march on Tuesday October 25.

The moment leading up to the shooting, Olsen was standing completely still. He was then hit in the head with a tear gas canister, which is potentially fatal.

Also, no rocks or bottles were thrown before Olsen was shot, contrary to Police statements.

Two angles of footage confirm this...."

1. Tossed a tear gas grenade while people are tending to wounded
There is NO HONOR in that. That cop should be pounding salt in a rat hole at the Crowbar Hotel!
You can clearly see it at the very end.

2. It was clearly intentional. Those helping Scott had their backs turned and non-confrontational.

7. Guess what? it is now!
We've been going down this road for thirty years. We fell asleep and let the fascist's take control. We'll have to feel the pain for those years we didn't exert control. I hope you can all learn hand to hand defensive skills. It may be your last defense on the streets. For me I've got my long guns and lot's of practice at 100 yards.

Why is it that these insecure pieces of shit are the ones with the badges?

9. This is NOT footage of him being deliberately shot. It's plenty bad enough...
...that his rescuers were clearly deliberately targetted.

Yes the nature of his injury makes it clear what was done, but we are not seeing it happen. Only the aftermath.

Claiming something NOT in evidence, only devalues that which IS in evidence.

The cop caught on camera tossing the grenade should be definitely disciplined as an individual if he can be identified.

For the "drop shot" collective responsibilty should be the way to go. Give the dickhead a chance to come forward to be sacked, or sign every single cop present up for own time retraining in sensitivity, crowd/riot control and firearms handling. No training, no promotion.

10. Don't lump these particular officers with all police- OWS stands up for law enforcement too.
It is tragic that on this particular occasion, these particular officers acted brutally on behalf of the 1%. I think it's important to identify these particular perpetrators and not to lump together in any way all the law enforcement professionals that protect and serve us.

It needs to be made clear that the OWS movement supports the police - whether they be city, county, state, or federal officers - and that OWS is protesting to protect their pay, their pensions, their benefits, and their families against those who would lay them off, cut their pay, slash their benefits, and raid their pensions. THAT is what the OWS movement is really about.

THAT is the answer we need to present to the befuddled media, who keep asking "but what do these OWS people really want"?
