"A fast, easy, free, and non-violent way to drive the big banks out of their greedy little minds is sitting in your mailbox right now. You just don't know it yet."

I've been doing this for a few years (without the shims and shingles). I figure it helps the Post Office too.
Activism comes in many forms.

...because I feel that every credit-card application that those bastards send out--is like a big
steel trap that they send into our homes--hoping we'll step into it and remain financially enslaved
for life--with their 22 percent interest rates.

Credit cards are awful, just awful. They enslave people. They ensure that the banks will own
a good chunk of your paycheck, every month.

You are not free when you have credit-card balances. Credit cards make you poor--sucking money
right out of your bank account--because you spend more with credit cards and you pay more for
EVERYTHING.

It wasn't a mistake that the banks gave credit cards to teenagers, people who don't have incomes,
college students or people with limited means. Vulnerable people are an opportunity to these people
and they know you'll pay--because they hold your credit score in their hands.

It's such a scam.

I'd say--if you mail this garbage to my home--trying to entice me and cajole me into giving up my
financial freedom--you deserve to get a message back from me--at your expense. The economy is
in the shitter and these banks know that people are desperate. They're the sharks--and they smell
blood in the water and this makes the banks very happy.

9. Been doing this for a while now.
And I don't remove my name. I just tear up the application. I wanted them to know who doesn't want their junk mail. A friend puts small dead batteries in the envelopes to add weight.

14. Great idea!!! Now I gotta go sift through my recycle bin for all the old envelopes.
He he, he he, he he! It is but a tiny bit of pay back for a horrendous wrong but, at least it's something and it's only just the beginning. We will bring the giant banks down one chip at a time.

On top of the already demonstrated benefits in regard to extra revenue for the US Post Office, another bonus... Jobs! If enough people do this, these Wall Street banks who want to have us all continue to be indebted to them w/their crappy-deal CC offers, will be forced to hire more workers to open and sort their 'mail' (lol). And I doubt this is the sort of thing that can be outsourced to a foreign country w/out major hoops to jump through. Or at least I hope that is the case!

Just a word of caution however... on top of removing identifying info (which has already been mentioned), please peeps, NO rhetoric that could possibly be interpreted or even misconstrued as threatening... Not only for your safety, but also for the legitimacy of the overall 99% movement in general. This, I say as just a reminder, since I'm sure any DUer who is considering such a course of action is smart enough to have considered this on his/her own. ---Just be sure to take a second look at what you are sending is all I'm saying.

K&R to the idea as well as the OP for sharing.

On edit: Bummer. Just noticed that the OP is too late to recommend. Oh well, gave it a Kick at least. :-)
