If the Obama Administration really cared about pesticide levels, it would not be in bed with Monsanto and other Big GMO creating firms.

2. The sad fact is, prosecution is too profitable.

They are not concerned with science or benefits or anything else.
As long as pot is illegal, law enforcement and government has a steady supply of cash straight from the tax payer.
And when has either of those ever stopped wanting cash?
In my youth I thought pot would be legal by now. I was naive to think so.
Profit and the worship of money always comes first with those in power.

And of course,now that the Major Pharmaceutical corporations are all attempting to isolate various cannibioids and patent them, they sure don't want us to grow our own.

On the other hand, those people who don't need it for medical reasons could always deprive the power structure of money by not using drugs.

Protesters especially should avoid drug use. When someone gets arrested for peaceful protest, it's outrageous. When that protester gets arrested for possessing illegal substances while protesting, no one cares.

So if you're going to risk arrest, friends, make sure your arrest counts for something.
