2. I am pretty sure that a non-racist
is not somebody who says, Look at me, I am in siupport of the black guy. He is the one who supports the candidate and does not have a need to highlight the fact that the candidate is black

4. The ignorant piece of shit had the gall to say:
The Politico and the mainstream media has launched an unconscionable, racially stereotypical attack on an independent, self-reliant conservative black because for him that behavior is not allowed. ...

I want to look at a couple things today from a different perspective. What would the left be doing right now if, let's say, there were an assault on Obama of this nature. Let's say that some conservative publication ran a story exactly like this: Unnamed sources, 15 years ago, with every detail of Obama sexual harassment. What would the Democrat national committee and what would the media be doing? They would be going after the women. They would be targeting these women, and they would name names, and they would destroy them. That is what the Democrats and the media would do. They would set out to find out who these women are that talked to the conservative publication and they would destroy them.

They would call these women racists for trying to destroy a black politician. They would claim that they're working for the Republican National Committee. They would claim that these two women (or these women, whoever), had been hired by the Republican National Committee to engage in this smear and lie campaign against Obama. They would go after these women. They would destroy them. They would make the women the bad guys. They would dig into every minor thing in these women's lives that they have ever done. They would trash them, they would make them prove the unprovable -- because this is war, and that's how they fight it. Anything goes, as far as they're concerned, and they cannot allow a black or an Hispanic to rise to the top of a political establishment that is not Democrat.

Yeah, Rush, tell that to Anthony Weiner or Shirley Sherrod or Van Jones.

Truth is, Democrats are more eager to eat their own than to seriously go after the Republicans!

LOL.

6. That's because your own refuse to go after Republicans, either
They keep compromising and finding middle ground on issues where there is no middle ground. Obama is no different from Bush as far as I can tell. Even when he had the majority in Congress to back him up, he didn't do anything with it. They didn't get to work and stomp down on corporate crime. Instead they hauled the corporate fat out of the fryer using our money.

Collectively, our government is a bunch of corporate puppets. I'm just waiting for a Democrat President and Congress to prove me wrong.

And still waiting.

5. It never was about race
It always has been, and always will be, about politics.

When Bill Clinton was President, and Rush Limpballs attacked everything about him, up to and including Chelsea's looks, it wasn't because they were black.

Rush Limbaugh attacks anybody who doesn't endorse brownshirts and jackboots. If they're black, he'll attack their race. If they're female, he'll trot out the old "Feminazi" term. He's attacked plenty of white Democratic males, as you'll recall.

So never be surprised if Rush supports a black, woman, or any other minority...as long as that person has corporations' best interests at heart.

18. As Rush Limpbaugh himself stated, "IT IS ABOUT RACE!!"
To deny this is either being naive or willfully ignorant.

Yes, most Democratic politicians get horrible dirt thrown at them, but this country has NEVER seen this level and degree of hatred aimed at one man. Underlying all of the blatant disrespect, dogwhistle-eye winks to rile up the racists in the Republican (and yes, Democratic)party is sheet, pure racial hatred. That's what it is and we need to start being honest about it and stop sweeping this under the rug.

This country will never overcome it's issues with race if we refuse to be honest.

19. When Bill Clinton was President,...
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 10:09 AM by AlbertCat
... the very idea of a black president never entered his Oxy-addled mind. It wasn't even on the horizon, wasn't a possibility, no way, nicht, nada.

You may have forgotten how they made fun of Clinton as the 1st "black president". There were "funny" photoshopped pics of Bill as black.

It is racist.

And it has been for the past 10 years, not just 3.

13. Call me cynical, which I am, but strongly suspect it was
the GOP elite who wanted Cain out. I'd be willing to bet someone within the GOP's well oiled machine tipped off Politico. I find it equally strange and perhaps not coincidental that Perry imploded in New Hampshire during the same weekend. The GOP elite want Romney. I doubt seriously they ever expected a buffoon like Cain to get as far as he has. They would have probably been okay with Perry, at least until he plummeted in the polls. And now their candidates have descended into crazy talk. I just have a feeling that the GOP leadership decided they needed to do something drastic or risk everything. Liberals have more to gain by have Cain run. None of this is possible to prove, but just imagine what's been going on behind closed doors.

20. Of course...
He's one of the "good ones".

Besides, it's not like the GOP would actually let him run anything if he made it to the presidency.

He'd have a Koch up his ass.

21. this is just inoculation. They support a black person that they know
does not have a chance and they inoculate themselves against any charges of racism. They also support Cain much the same way they support Clarence Thomas because they know these people will do anything they are told to keep the acceptance of the Powers That Be. Cain and Thomas strike me like Jews who collaborated with the Nazis were probably suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
