Watch out...the libertarians are invading OWS. Peter Schiff wants to "chat with" (lecture to) the protestors and tell them that they're all misguided and angry at the wrong institutions.

1. I thought of posting these videos here. There's a few longer ones out there. But

I decided against it. This guy is a smarmy douche. He claims to want to have a dialog but he's just a smirking dick.

3. At least he went down there
Funny thing is, he makes the point of most of the people he spoke with. They had him contradicting himself on the effects of high wages, first he said the US did fine when wages were high, then later he said jobs were over in China because wages were too high here.

He's also flat out wrong about the taxes the wealthy used to pay compared to what they pay now (and he got called out on it).

On top of that, he's suggesting a false dichotomy regarding student loans, offering an either or of no more loans, therefore colleges and universities will have to reduce tuition to get students to attend or students will receive loans and suffer high tuition costs. Why not loans but only to students attending colleges that keep tuition costs reasonable?

Also, he jumped all over someone for saying it costs us when banks fail because the banks are insured, but all that means is our tax dollars are bailing those banks out when their bad decisions cost them too much. So yes, we do suffer when banks screw up.

I'm much fonder of Libertarians than I am of Republicans, though, and I have to give the guy credit for going down there and opening up the debate. That's more than most would dare. The protesters did a fantastic job, too. How many of us are capable of stepping up like that when someone shows up and sticks a microphone in our faces? If that wasn't prepared ahead of time (with chosen speakers who had some advanced warning), then I'm absolutely in awe.

4. Ofc he would go down there
where he knows that his lies would go unchallenged. Thats easy for a smart guy like him, now about he debates Paul Krugram, Joseph Stiglet or Robert Reich and lets see how well he does then.

8. He got challenged all over the place
In fact, I'd say he walked away fairly chewed up, if he didn't know enough to walk away a little more humbly than he walked up, that's his problem.

5. I am more afraid of the Libertarians than I am of the rethugs. I think
a lot of people fall for someone like Paul because he spouts the anti-war and legal marijuana stuff and does not say what else he is trying to do. My grandson who is so into his computer he hardly ever goes out of the house told me that he was for Paul because he was for freedom. That is all he knows about him. The family have told him to look into the rest but he never even bothers to think about the economics because all to many in the family are helping him.

Does anyone have a good site that gives info on Ron Paul's positions? This kid is smart but he is isolated to the point that he thinks everyone lives like him. Also thinks he is isolated because he belongs to a tribe and gets help through them. What he does not understand is that the tribes will lose the same things as everyone else if greed takes over completely.

He is going to college but online where he is learning nothing except more computer.

One angry grandmother.
