George Landrith, Frontiers of Freedom joins Thom Hartmann. Did Republicans get a mandate in the last election to ignore jobs and the economy and instead give welfare to ExonnMobil, criminalize abortion, put us all under God, go after NPR, and make it harder for American citizens to vote?

1. Affirming "In God We trust" requires no political courage
Taking the necessary steps (raising taxes) does. Guess why the Republican-controlled House
prefers to occupy its time with the motto on commemorative baseball coins? Political courage?
That's two words with six syllables. In God We Trust is four one-syllable words--MUCH easier
for your average teabagger to handle.

2. Like Rachel Maddow in the MSNBC ad
Promise pragmatic, practice button issues.

5. Thank you
I signed up because my mom (Elsewhere's Daughter) asked me to a few weeks ago. She's passed on, so I'm honoring all her requests, this being one of them.

6. Wow. I am so incredibly sorry.
Please know how terrible I feel about your loss. She'll certainly be missed here. I liked her a lot, and she was one of the first people I met on DU when I first came here at the beginning of 2003. She had already been here awhile and was nice and smart and funny. You might consider posting a thread to let other folks here know, if you're up to it. She had a lot of friends here. Kudos to you for honoring her request. I hope that you decide to stick around like she did... I am so sorry. ;(

7. I won't be posting a thread
If I did I'd be admitting that she's really gone, which I still don't believe, you know? Anyway, thanks for your kindness. I'm going to try (4th time tonight) to get some sleep. Not easy.

8. I know exactly what you mean.
I lost my mother in September, an accident, and I still can't believe it's real, keep thinking it must be some kind of mistake. So I can both sympathize and empathize. Try and get some rest. You need it now... Grieving takes a lot out of you. ;(

3. Mr. Lindrith presented no neither good ideas nor facts in his time
He attempted to rewrite history and repeated Tea Party™ talking points.

Thom countered it with facts. That's how you talk to a right wing moron.
