2. I'm just sick about this... |
|
I can't believe we have people like this in the military.
Ugly Americans indeed.
Someone who has a contact at MSNBC, get this to KO. Everyone in America needs to see this.

6. It shows a bunch of kids running after an army truck |
|
and the soldiers in the back are holding up bottles of water, like bait, as they move faster and faster away from the kids chasing them. It is pretty disgusting.

water? It wouldn't have surprised me if the soldiers started hurling bottles at them. x( Very cruel.

They finally throw a bottle to him but some other kids standing in the street grab it.

10. And we are suppose to continue to "Support our troops"? |
|
I will support troops who are compassionate and doing their job in an appropriate way. But this borders on the side of torture and they should be reprimanded for such activity.

11. I wouldn't call it torture |
|
But if they're alienating kids on a route they often use, then they're losing allies who just might point out a roadside bomb. So basically it's their fellow servicemen in Iraq who are most harmed by this behavior.

Support these troops? NOT These troops don't represent America or most of men and women serving in this illegal war, but they sure show the world the absolute worst of America. so sad.

18. I don't blame the soldiers... |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-22-06 02:59 AM by Limelight
Don't get me wrong, it was wholey immature and just a plain jerk off thing to do. But see this is the part of these kinds of long, drawn out, meandering, seemingly never ending bloody conflicts where you have guys who've been stuck there, in the line of fire for a year or more, perhaps on their 2nd or 3rd tour of duty, with the constant fear/danger of death surrounding them. It's the part of the conflict where you're so desensitized to normal reality that you start resenting the people you're supposed to be there to help and start looking at them as being less than human. There's yet another lesson from Vietnam.
No, I blame the idiots that have our soldiers stuck over there and are making them do months and months worth of duty past the time their tours were originally supposed to end. I think the mental strain of it all is truly starting to get to a lot of them. That's why it's time to bring them home.

I know an asshole when I see one. These guys would have been doing asshole activities over here if there was no Iraq war. If they survive Iraq, they'll come home and be assholes here.

22. I blame them. I'm sick of people giving them a pass. |

There's a reason "the troops" are America's least informed demographic. They need to be exposed until they become something else. They need to be held to the same standards as everybody else. They will be ignorantly evil as long as people allow them to be.

he's going to make a formidable insurgent in a few years. The chances of him turning out to be an ally are pretty much shot after this episode.

How can anyone tease those poor children like this? No wonder most of Iraq hates us so much. If (some of) our soldiers keep on pulling stupid stunts like this, those kids will soon turn into insurgents...:grr::grr::grr:
I support the compassionate, caring troops. Not these despicable mofos in this video
*note to RW lurkers/Freepers/etc* You will try to spin this into me calling all the troops "despicable mofos". This is not true. Read the whole message please before you say anything. Thank you.

Behavior like this by soldiers is really sickening. Openly taunting, and then making fun of the kid who ran so far because he didn't get the bottle.
