Klein suggests on his show that all Muslims in the United States should have a crescent-shape tatooed on their bodies or a armband that distinguishes them from others. The calls he receives exposes the kind of bigotry that still plagues our country today...

WASHINGTON (Reuters)- When radio host Jerry Klein suggested that all Muslims in the United States should be identified with a crescent-shape tattoo or a distinctive arm band, the phone lines jammed instantly.

The first caller to the station in Washington said that Klein must be "off his rocker." The second congratulated him and added: "Not only do you tattoo them in the middle of their forehead but you ship them out of this country ... they are here to kill us."

Another said that tattoos, armbands and other identifying markers such as crescent marks on driver's licenses, passports and birth certificates did not go far enough. "What good is identifying them?" he asked. "You have to set up encampments like during World War Two with the Japanese and Germans."

5. That was Mr. Klein's point - and some of his listeners missed it completely
in the clip he said something along the lines of identifying muslims on their ID documentation as well as tattooing and armbands. Sound familiar?

Apparently redneck nazis only look at the pictures in their history books.

7. Why not Red Triangles?
Perhaps he would approve of the Muslims being forced
to wear a Red Triangle. How any american could even
dream of forcing certain ethnic groups, to wear a
crescent tattoo, or identifying armband is a sure
indication, of just how damaging the rule of the
Jesus Pimps has been to the fabric of the American
value system. The Rightwing pundits like Flush, and
the others, have made a total mockery of Democracy,
and are well paid by corporate interests. The fact
that millions of americans agree with these Nazi
tactics, proves just how effective the year in,
year out brainwashing has been. And then they act
with feigned indignation when called a Nazi. But
turn right around and make a proposal like this.

This insanity will continue, as long as the true
conservatives allow it. Many in the past few years
have started to question the tactics of these
so called pundits, and we can hope that the good
people that are left, will send the likes of
Mann Coulter and the others to the shit can of
History. How a real conservative could ever approve
of these gutter snips and their Oligarch al policies
is and will remain a great mystery.

9. The radio host was an idiot; he revealed another "inconvenient truth."
It never astonishes me that idiots who think they're doing "satires" or "parodies" who raise up these ideas get bitten in the ass.

Years ago, there was an incident where, to illustrate racism, a high school social studies teacher started an experiment where all students with blond hair were to be the subject of prejudice. The students took to that prejudice exceptionally well; I believe they assaulted several blonds, a lot of them ended up in therepy when they realized what they were guilty of doing, and the dumbass teacher lost his job. (I don't know the details; one of you probably does.)

Then there's "Borat." Someone I know honestly believed that the British comedian who did that put-on character was just insulting backwards Eastern Europeans. Wrong. He was playing around with the encouragement of American racism, and undoubtedly thought it was a great joke on the former colonists. But when you successfully get a whole bar to cheerily sing "Throw The Jew Down The Well," you aren't exposing racism, you're exploiting it. (As if the Brits were free of racism; I fully remember "Keep Britan White," folks.)

These, plus this radio shock jock, are all instances of idiots who diddle with strong social problems. They don't understand that racism is real, pervasive, and adaptive. There are lots of present day fathers who wouldn't mind if their teenage daughters dated or had sex with a black man, or even a woman; they think they're beyond prejudice. But if she were to bring home a Muslim...as I say, racism is adaptive.

And by "exposing" it, this egotistical radio host brought it out into the light where it can grow and flourish again. Maybe he can profess shock and dismay at the weed he just gave fertilizer to, but there are lots of people who will pick up where he left off - for real this time. Thanks for your "parody"...jerk.
