---LOS ANGELES, CA, United States (UPI) -- The animated crack on the current government, 'Lil` Bush: Resident of the United States,' will become an animated series on Comedy Central in 2007.

The 'Muppet Babies'-styled show was originally conceived for the mobile phone platform, Zap2it.com reported.

'`Lil` Bush` is one of the most innovative projects we`ve seen and a welcome addition to Comedy Central`s line-up,' said the network`s Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Development Lauren Corrao. 'We are thrilled to partner with Amp`d Mobile on this exciting venture the first television series to be born out of an original mobile presentation.'

Comedy Centrals new show revolves around Lil` George and his Lil` White House pals including Lil` Condi, Lil` Rummy and the foulmouthed wisecracker, Lil` Cheney. They are likened to the Lil` Rascals with access to the atomic bomb. They also square off with their enemies, including Lil` Kim Jong II and Lil` Saddam Hussein.---
