Sometimes I wonder if justice isn't faking it's blindness. Maybe it's peaking a little. Because if it were blind, this guy would not still be living in our White House.

1. the proportion's off...

They just took the clip with the blacked out portion and stretched it to fill the screen, and then said it was the original. Just like when you watch a widescreen movie, and instead of doing Pan and Scan (which already sucks enough), they just stretch the top and bottom to fill the screen (which is even worse!).

I honestly don't buy the whole "shifting" thing, but if the makers of this video are trying to pass this off as original proof, they're lying.

Also, it doesn't show anything different: if the black bar really was to make a space for captions, the bottom of the screen should have a lot more of the podium; if there instead actually was some "shifting" going on, the part of the frame that was cut out by the WH is still cut out!

2. This one has been debunked

The video was taken from CNN and the crawl was blacked out. There actually isn't any video of the speech anywhere out there with the poster visible behind it. The daily show even ran some vid with the proper proportions and the posters just not in the frame.

3. oh, I know...

Like I said, I never bought the whole "shifting" thing (one main problem in that first YouTube video that made the accusation was that he was comparing it to a photo from a still camera--taken at a greater distance and lower angle as well--as opposed to a screen capture from the original video), I was just saying that the proportion was off.

It's quite clear that whoever did this just took the "suspect" video and made the border with the black space the bottom edge of the frame, instead of actually having the original video and showing what was under the black part, making it less convincing than even the original accusation! It's like, the author doctored a doctored video to prove that the doctored one hadn't been doctored.... :silly:

Like that guy made famous because he crossed his fingers when his pic was taken with Hillary Clinton ... did they try to avoid getting a pic like that?
