2. I've been using this line to piss off republicans since early 2007
I don't know if I'm supporting her or not, but it's a good line to get repub's synapses snapping and fizzling.

8. The audience enjoyed that one very much.
Hillary has remained the frontrunner every day of this race, despite everything the media and opposition threw at her. After all that, she will have no problem cleaning up after *.

where it sat there rotting and stinking and making us trip up.

Will you take the rug out in the sunshine and beat it until all the vermin fall out this time? I really doubt it.

14. I loved it!
but lets be for real. She isnt a Clinton but in marriage. The 2 Bushes were blood. She isnt a Clinton by blood. She just took the last name. Maybe somebody should bring that to light.

After last night she took the lead for my vote.

15. I'm confused..
Why would anyone on here applaud a politicians for stating that one political dynasty is required to clean up after another?

That's an argument for oligarchy!

16. Bad reply, no doubt about it

She was doing great with the lines about wanting to be judged on her own merits, if she'd have stuck with that she'd have done well but then she undercut herself with the "it takes a Clinton to clean up after a Bush" line. As someone said above that just reminded people of what they want to avoid, a replay of the last Clinton years.

For the middle and upper classes maybe the 90's was good if we don't worry too much the results of those policies, but for many of us it was a bad, bad time and many of those policies such as NAFTA and media consolidation didn't work out so well either. That's the time period where we passed Russia to become the most imprisoned nation in the world, in spite of the reputation of the first black President there was no racial group hurt worse by prison growth than the black community and I've never quite understood how he got and kept that reputation. The rate of prison/jail growth didn't change much through those years as shown on page two of the linked info here, many who were trusting the administration to check the results and adjust were sorely disappointed and that lead to much of the anger we see against them today.

Welfare "reform" hurt the poor again by shifting responsibility from the Fed to States which were already staggering under the weight of prison growth so now prison is the largest provider of mental health care in the nation, and that doesn't even touch the effects of things like media consolidation and NAFTA.

The 90's were NOT good years for a lot of us and the last thing we need is any suggestion that we could use some more of the same. If she has a chance at winning the skeptics it's in cutting any strings to the past and trying to stand on her own with her own plans and future. Reference to the last Clinton administration only hurts her.

17. Clean up after Bush 2?
The Clintons are "Bush2 Lite." Have anyone read or heard of Bills' millions of dollars collected from businessmen he did favors for? Please read in the NYTimes about Frank Giustra and the Kazakhstan uranium ore mine deal, 1/31 and 2/1/2008.

19. if I recall correctly, when Clinton took office he found an ungodly mess created by GHWB . . .
including evidence that could have convicted him of any number of crimes . . . and he chose not to disclose the information or pursue charges against Bush The First "for the good of the nation" or whatever . . . anyone else remember hearing about this? . . .

if Hillary is elected, there's no way she will pursue Bush/Cheney and prosecute them for their crimes . . . neither will Obama, or McCain, or anyone else . . . "for the good of the nation," don'tcha know . . .

and Bush will retire to his bunker in Paraguay to live like the king he imagines himself to be . . .
