1. She's so disingenuous. Did she mention she was refusing to debate in Ohio? (She caved on that)

22. I was never afraid of the SCHOOL BULLY!
But I'm old enough to remember ... who wants to be bothered with HOSTILITY?
It's so negative.
Just like the school bully who chides the "good kid" ... "come on and fight; you're chicken".
No, I'm not chicken, it's just the NEGATIVITY and jealousy I'm not interested in.
Hillary is b*tchy, and vindictive. Who needs it?
As a voter, I'm not interested in seeing a candidate maimed in the coliseum, like the fall of the Roman Empire.
I'm not interested in BARBARISM!
Obama has taken the high road ... CIVILITY.
Go Obama!

Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 09:04 AM by Tellurian
I want to ensure the next president has command of the issues and I want Obama to challenge Hillary, as he does on the stump, on her LIES!

9. NO we don't --and stop making ASSumptions!--Obama is being percieved as not
caring about wisconsin voters--by many--

Hillary did a smart move by accepting the offer from the Univ of Marquette.

4. I think she should have debated the code pink people, like Medea Benjamin
Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 02:03 AM by Tom Joad
but instead she just dismissed them saying "I have to say, if the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who did not cast that vote or said his vote was a mistake, then there are others to choose from. "

yes, there were others to choose from. too bad for you Hillary.
and there have been an endless number of debates, hill, so just get over it.

8. It might have been seen as a tad hypocritical to skip it. and this is a
woman who goes to fund raisers with Robert Murdoch, who owns the most racist and reactionary media conglomerate in the nation (if not the planet)

It seems she is only sensitive when her family is the subject of verbal abuse, not millions of others.

challenging him to discuss the issues in a debate rather than in speeches and ads.

12. Barack prefers being adored from afar while making The Speech
rather than be questioned and (gasp!) held responsible for what he says in response to serious questions that have real consequences for the American People.

It is absolutely fair for Hillary to raise this question.

Why won't Obama debate Hillary in Wisconsin? :eyes:

17. all you gotta do is plant the doubt in people's minds
-- eg. What's my opponent afraid of? or He's the front runner so he's expecting you to vote for him and doesn't feel it's important to earn that vote by answering YOUR questions -- and then they'll begin to mistrust everything else about the candidate.

Very clever, on her part, and something the Obama campaign should take seriously. There's not much you can learn from a candidate while shaking his hand for one second in a rope line or hearing the same, tired, canned speech he's been making for the last month or so.

19. The problem is
She soesnt have any money so she wants to debate him as much as she can to get free air time.

If she was in the lead she wouldnt want to debate him. Its an old trick and it never works.

She is grabbing for straws.

20. No, the problem is that Obama is chicken.
Otherwise you are just saying we should let the candidate with the most money win the nomination.

On the other side, it would mean that Mitt Romney would be the Republican nominee.

Because John McCain only got this far by taking part in TV debates = "free air time".

Debating your opponent is an important part of the democratic process.

What is Obama scared of? :eyes:

21. Whats there to be scared of?
He debated her 18 times already. He has 2 more coming up.

He is debating her.

If she cared so much about WI why did she start off in Texas and skip WI? She wont even be there until Saturday. Incase she didnt get the memo WI is the next state not Texas.

23. Maybe Obama should mention that in his next TV ad
"While Barack Obama was in Madison, Hillary Clinton was campaiging down in Texas."

I guess the big question is: who has spent the most time in Wisconsin?

Maybe that's more important than dealing with questions about the issues.

I never said that Obama isn't wise. Maybe Obama is a wise chicken? :eyes:

Wise enough to realize that Hillary knows more about the issues than he does.

29. Exactly!
I mean, 147 debates clearly were not sufficient. At least 154 are required to establish dominance!

Look, the trailer always wants more debates and the leader always wants to minimize debates. It is just that simple. Seriously, how can anybody possibly say that anyone is ducking any debates after the seemingly endless debates we have had up to this point?

Or as KO said last night........there are children who were born about the time of the first debate and they're walking now!!

They have quickly put together a new ad that answers Hillary's.

Maybe it was because this ad didn't air before an election where 20% of the voting population said Race was an important factor.
