2. How exactly does Obama's healthcare plan cover more people that Hillary's? |
|
Obama has never made that claim in any of the debates up until now.
If Hillary's plan covers ALL Americans, how does Obama cover more?
Does Obama's plan include all undocumented workers or what? :eyes:
Just curious if there is any evidence to back up this claim.

6. Not everyone will want Hillary's plan... Some may not be able to afford it. |
|
Obama's plan doesn't cost as much as Clinton's and there in lies the difference. She mandates you get it whether you can afford it or not. Some of her solutions... garnish wages... try to lower the cost... or penalize if you don't sign on.
Obama's plan says if you can't pay for it then let's try to find a way to lower the cost to make it affordable. His plan doesn't penalize or garnish wages but finds a way to make it more affordable. It's premised on the idea that if people can afford it then they will want it.
If you can't afford Hillary's plan then it doesn't matter you will be forced to pay for what you cannot afford.
And if given a choice between Obama's plan and Clinton's plan then he is assessing that people would prefer his plan over hers because it is more affordable.

I wrote a big response to this the other day, but I don't think anyone saw it. Maybe I should make it it's own thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=4595829&mesg_id=4599449

3. I thought people didn't like attack ads |

This one seems to be working. They've had 18 debates with two more in the works. If Clinton wants to compare and contrast their different health care plans then she should do it in a flyer. We have gotten two expensive mailings from the Clinton campaign filled with mostly fluff. I'd love to see the two plans side by side on paper so they aren't just reduced to sound bites - which is all we get during debates.

He pulled the $2500 out of his behind. If he states those lies during the next debate, Clinton will eat his lunch. Flowery speeches are indeed inspiring, but Obama has not been properly vetted. Patrick Fitzgerald has mentioned Obama in the on-going trial of his benefactor. The super delegates will decide whether or not the GOP can attack Obama and paint him as a corrupt politician. They have an uncanny knack of turning a puff of smoke into a 5-alarm fire. If they can, he'll lose 20% of his support overnight.
