You can always watch the Show Live 3-5 pm ET, with a Rolling Post Game 5-7 pm daily Monday-Friday at www.theyoungturks.com The RPG often contains political talk but also many non-political topics to lighten things up (and yes, that audio may not necessarily be work-safe).

Also, if you can't watch live, the 3-5pm portion of the show (politics) streams the rest of the day, all day right after the Post Game Show ends leading up to the initial show at 3pm.

1. No, based on observations so far.
Do you think it has to do with the possibilities there are
absolutely two world views in the Democratic party? Therefore,
our Leaders cannot take an absolute stand on certain issues.
When you get down to center of the onion--Red State Democrats
and Blue State Democrats. Our Leaders have to try work with
each group. They will always have some Representatives and
or Senators who do not conform. Our Party permits this.
The GOP in the end requires Lockstep.

Is it therefore unreasonable to expect so much?? Honest Question
I have not been able to answer for myself.

3. You're right, there are pros and cons obviously
I really like the free thinking of the Democrats. But at some point shouldn't we expect them to be able to find some CORE issues for which they *would* be willing to be that bold (not necessarily do that exact thing but the same principle)?

At this point I'll settle for them standing up for the rule of law and Constitution, but apparently even that is too much to ask: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exNIlIsI6Rg&feature=user

4. No, they have a sense of decency.
If you go too far, and someone points it out, those who are capable of decency tend to feel it.

But Republicans in Congress lost whatever sense of decency they may have had around about 1992.

5. Maybe
But there's a fine line between "decency" and never *really* standing up to these Republicans and the most unpopular president in history.

I'd rather have them be a little "indecent" and get us the hell out of this war and not allow the law and Constitution to be trampled. But maybe that's just me.

6. Having a sense of decency against a bunch of thugs coming at you
with everything they have got is likw having a one way ticket to the morgue.

7. No.
And nor should they.

Sadly, though....they don't have what it takes to do it anyway.

8. No simple answers.
'George Lakoff analyzes the unconscious and rhetorical worldviews of liberals and conservatives, discovering radically different but remarkably consistent conceptions of morality on both the left and right.'

9. The democrats can't be controversial?
Does nobody remember when Harry Reid closed the senate and made Frist blow his top in 2005? How about when the dems met in the capitol basement to publicly discuss faulty Iraq war intelligence? Let's not forget the filibusters of judicial nominees.

10. Those few examples sound ok at first
until you compare them to the MUCH longer list of Dem cave-ins and capitulations.
